It's decided then.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to vote. It has been almost 24 hours since the poll was launched, 51 of you have voted, and the results seem to be pretty unanimous:

“This feels like quite a responsibility” suggested Chris, and he’s right. Many of you through Facebook said that it was only I who could make the decision, but I’m afraid you’re all wrong as it’s too late for that.

To make you all feel a little better about extending my stay in a country that is rapidly deteriorating into violent tribal divisions and military rule, here is a list of your reasons on why to stay, and why not to stay…

Reasons given to stay:

  • While advertising is fun, it’s bloody hard work and I find myself truly knackered a lot of the time. -Dougie
  • Why stop?……England is so cold, and there’s enough help here already. -Meg
  • A career in advertising will always be there and besides mocha fraps are very, very fattening. -Lisa
  • I think it’s got to be the Mara. I’m sure if you see my alcohol and coffee ravaged body walking around Manchester in a few year’s time you’ll understand why. -Simon
  • Life is far too short to be stuck in a cubicle. -Texas in Africa
  • I hope you’ll post lots of pictures. -Sheryl
  • When you are back in rainy polluted London drinking Mocha you will think about the blue skies in the Mara and wonder whether you made the right decision. But then it might be too late. -Dipesh
  • It’s your turn on Scrabulous. -Gary

Reasons given not to stay:

  • Come home William. -Tom

Apart from Tom and myself, another five people voted Mocha, however reasons for doing so were not given. It was also interesting to note from your messages that many of you voted Mara as you were mostly interested in potential holiday destinations.

Thanks again to everyone for taking the time to vote, I received a lot of lovely messages and will get back to you personally very soon.

I leave for the Mara on around the 13th of February for some more of this.

Who could resist clicking on Mara for a quick vicarious adventurous thrill? Your fate is sealed, diceman. -Fred
